Happy Halloween everybody!
Hope today is full of scary surprises and for those who have no idea who to be tonight I have some ideas. How to use the same shirt for 3 very different costumes was not a challenge and I think I executed it perfectly.
For the first look I am Alex DeLarge from A Clockwork Orange a very spooky movie from the 70’s based on Anthony Burgess’ novella.
I am wearing a white dress shirt from Calvin Klein, white denim from Just Cavalli and my 3.1 Phillip Lim black booties. To accessorize and complete my costume a top hat from Urban Outfitters, white suspenders from American Apparel, a cane and eyelashes that I purchased at Rickey’s.
Second look was even easier here I am Joel Goodsen interpreted by Tom Cruise in the move Risky Business from the 80’s. A romantic American comedy that launched Tom Cruise’s carrier with the scene of him dancing and performing in his underwear.
Here literality I just dropped my pants wearing the white shirt, white boxer briefs from Calvin Klein and white socks from American Apparel adding the iconic Ray Ban wayfarers.
Last but not least I decided to play nice and be a mouse but not just any typical mouse. Here I am the classic Mickey Mouse first introduced on November 18, 1928 by Walt Disney.
I am wearing mouse ears that I got from Rickey’s the same white shit, red denim from Levi’s, yellow suspenders from American Apparel, a black blazer from Rag & Bone, black patent leather dress shoes from Dior and changed the color of the bowtie to black giving the costume a more elegant Mickey Mouse.
So for those who say dressing up or in my case down for Halloween is tortuous now you have no excuse because all you need is to your imagination to transform fashion into a costume.
Love it!
