Winter Whites

There was a time when people stuck to the rule that white clothing was only “allowed” between Memorial Day and Labor Day. This was summertime, after all, a time for picnics, barbecues and a general carefree way of life. Some called it a Don’t once or even twice but for this winter wearing white will be a must. After spotting the off-whites trend quite a bit all over the runway it seemed pretty obvious that this was going to be the upcoming look. Since it’s for winter we definitely need a coat and to keep the winter wonderland tones a camel coat is the perfect element to go with the all-white outfit. For my look I decided to wear my Just Cavalli white denim with a gray two tone French Connection thermal under a simple white Tee from DKNY and doing the all-white look by adding my high rise kicks from Sandro. To complete the look a camel robe like coat from The Reformation and in the accessory department having my hair pulled back in a man bun added a posh aesthetic mixing elegance with a bohemian touch. The brown leather aviators from Chloé where a perfect match to white and brown (camel) color story as for my Louis Vuitton duffle bag had the exact colors needed to complete the look. The brown and camel LV iconic pattern went perfectly with the vibe and color scheme of the whole outfit. So if you are of the people who wonder why is it bad to wear white after Labor Day. The truth is that few people know the exact logic behind this antiquated fashion “law.” There seems to be no explanation, but what can be agreed upon is that it’s a rule that can now be put to bed.

Suit & Tie … & Pen

DSC_6109

Mondays are typically annoying because it is good bye weekend and hello work. So today I will be blogging/working from the comforts of my room introducing my new collaboration with Pineda Covalin. For today I decided to go all out and pulled out the suit & tie to look sharp and classy on a Monday vibe. To accessorize my black suit I decided to wear a Petalillo Wall Tiles tie from Pineda Covalin, the designs embellish the architecture of Puebla (state in Mexico) in the many shades of blue were the patterns are woven to create an interwoven palm leaves. The ultimate accessory for this look was the pen in my pocket matching with the tie, becoming the focus point and the only pop of color the outfit needed making it a statement of efficiency and class wherever I went. The brand identity Pineda Covalin transmits in this modern age era without losing its Mexican roots can clearly be appreciated though out the entire collection.

Denim Fever

Once upon a time denim on denim was not such a good idea but today we are going all in. Finding a denim shirt with some details was the perfect contrast between two dark indigo hues pairing up my H&M denim shirt with my Joe Fresh jeans were the perfect match. To add a little color my dark camel brown belt from Ralph Lauren and my Astor Too Boot New York double monk strap shoes, mixing indigo with dark brown will always make a statement. To continue on the dark brown tones my Chloé aviators with leather details and my Louis Vuitton Damier canvas clutch were the perfect ensemble for a very fresh yet casual formal assembly.

Sunny Side Up

The sun is shining and it’s time to go out and play TGIF and the looks are more casual. Kicking it old school wearing a black top from Brian Lichtenberg #14 paring it up with black shorts from H&M and with my 3.1 Phillip Lim high rise black sneakers gives it a very summer all black casual look. To accessorize I added my Fucking Young studded baseball cap and to keep me from the sun black aviators were the perfect match to this all black summer look. Jut to pop out some color a yellow leather mabillion Louis Vuitton backpack gives it the perfect ensemble for a fresh hands free look were you can even have a second outfit just in case you run into some friends.
