All Black Sunday

Despite Manhattans´ weather mood swings today was a very pleasant day. The sun was shining but a cool breeze moved my locks out of place (jajaaj) for today’s look I went all black, wearing my Zara black t shirt paired with black trousers from Helmut Lang. To accessorize and give it a more relax vibe to an all black look I paired it up with my white Keds and a furry clutch from 3.1 Phillip Lim. What to make the look more formal? Change the shoes for black dress shoes and either add a blazer or a leather jacket and voila!!

You can change the whole look of you outfit just by accessorizing the right way.

Mr. Nieves

Any man can live in color – MR NIEVES dares to live in print.

Mr. Nieves

For my second day of #MBFW I wore this amazing print assemble from Mr. Nieves, an up and coming New Yorker designer that brought back his Puerto Rican roots. In his new collection we can see how colorful and perfectly tailored the pieces are. For this occasion I choose this black and white print top with a checkered pattern mix but the secret to not overdo it is by accessorizing wisely.  In this look I am wearing a Proenza Schouler PS11 bag in a light tone to blend in with the heavy print, for my feet a pair of white sneakers from H&M giving a perfect balance of tones to the look. In my ankle I am wearing a navy blue handkerchief as a bracelet just to have fun with a different accessory and of course as most of the time in my eyes my Ray Bans. The black wayfarers go perfectly with the fit of the matching pieces making my outfit look fresh and clean especially during those hot September days.

MADE IN MEXICO

Today we are being very supportive of Mexico in the world cup, so I am wearing Mexican designer Ricardo Seco SS14 Power collection. It’s such a great experience to work with Mexicans that are well establish in New York it just inspires me to continue my goals and always looks forward. In this ensemble that I put together I decided to go all in doing a matchy match with his collection of the red and green rose’s pattern. Had the bomber jacket, the shirt, and the pants pairing them up with my Nike runner 5.0 black kicks and my brown Ray-Bans making a perfect balance. Sometimes standing out is not such a bad idea. MANHATTAN SAMURAI

“Power is the man and the city who act with absolute certainty in overcoming challenges and adapting to trends by making them their own. This is where New York and Shanghai meet.”
– Ricardo Seco

Looks like the sun is finally out, after days of rain the sun is up in the sky and shining bright. So for this look I went a little breeze easy (jajaja) wearing this amazing pair of shorts that give me all the breeze I need for this hot sunny day. A basic black tank top was essential to pair up with those shorts; top and bottom are by Mexican fashion designer Ricardo Seco from his Spring/Summer 2014 Power collection that debuted in Mercedes Benz Fashion Week New York last February. The collection was a huge success and when I saw those short on the runway I knew I needed them ASAP. Working together with the look I pair it up with my Valentino rockstud loafers and accessories with a burgundy patent leather Louis Vuitton clutch. Of course my Ray Bans had to come out for the sunny day and just adding a more summer vibe by using my top hat from ZARA.
