I am back New York ❤️

I was trying to explain my job as a digital influencer and someone at the table mentioned being like Demi Moore’s movie “The Joneses”. In the movie the family persuades the whole neighborhood into a perfect material life that doesn’t exist.

That got me thinking…

Is designer bags all you see in me? Am I only lurking you into believing that a perfect life exists?

Sorry to break it to you but my life isn’t perfect. I constantly fear the instability of a digital job. The daily struggle between family, friends and work. A different profession where new information is being delivered daily. And of course the competition of wanting to keep up.

I just really hope you find more in my words and pictures than fancy clothes. I hope that I am able to inspire your own truth. To believe in yourselves, break boundaries, stereotypes, and above all to believe in the power of your dreams when you work hard for them.

No one is perfect but in that effort to achieve perfection you will find your own best. And that is quite alright.

With love,

Neto

Neto

Crop it up

So its official the #AlexanderwangxHM collection is sold out but I was lucky to snitch a couple of pieces that obviously amazed us all. Here I am wearing the black scuba neoprene crop top with a white Calvin Klein dress shirt underneath. Ripped black jeans (by me) from Joe Fresh where the perfect match making the look very grunge and relaxed. My high rise sneakers from Sandro made the perfect statement of making the whole outfit out of black and white pieces. To accessorize a black coat that came in handy if the weather of Manhattan decided to change on us again, a camel felt hat for The Hatter Company and a 3.1 Phillip Lim colorful fur clutch. Emphasizing on making the hat and clutch stand out from the achromatic color scheme of the outfit worked pretty good, balanced and gave a little pop to the look.

Mr. Nieves

Any man can live in color – MR NIEVES dares to live in print.

Mr. Nieves

For my second day of #MBFW I wore this amazing print assemble from Mr. Nieves, an up and coming New Yorker designer that brought back his Puerto Rican roots. In his new collection we can see how colorful and perfectly tailored the pieces are. For this occasion I choose this black and white print top with a checkered pattern mix but the secret to not overdo it is by accessorizing wisely.  In this look I am wearing a Proenza Schouler PS11 bag in a light tone to blend in with the heavy print, for my feet a pair of white sneakers from H&M giving a perfect balance of tones to the look. In my ankle I am wearing a navy blue handkerchief as a bracelet just to have fun with a different accessory and of course as most of the time in my eyes my Ray Bans. The black wayfarers go perfectly with the fit of the matching pieces making my outfit look fresh and clean especially during those hot September days.

School Boy

After 2 months of graduating I kind of miss school (ajjaja not really) being out in the adult world in Manhattan is just so thrilling. For the school boy look I used denim on denim one of my favorite combinations. Mid length denim shorts from Forever21 paired with a Givenchy t-shirt and my Hollister crop denim jacket was the perfect assemble to go with my navy blue Chanel boy bag and to pop some color my Creative Recreation kicks where just the piece missing and I was ready to go on the schools fieldtrip (jajaja).

Blue Army

The up and coming camouflage print is being spotted everywhere. I immediately got mine from Valentino in a blue army tone and matched them with my jogging pants from 3.1 Phillip Lim. Never thought I’d say that the jogger pants are so comfortable and very convenient for stylish traveler. My greenish Valentino rockstud loafers where the perfect match to the navy joggers because of the dark tones the shoes have; creating a very effortless look. To complete the look and in pair with the blue hues the Chanel boyfriend bag with its matching iphone case because 2 is always better then 1.

Gloomy Blue

After days of amazing weather Manhattan cried a little last night. Woke up even worse today and gave us a gloomy day. Between an irritable wind and an annoying rain I had to use my skills to provide myself with protection from water and if it got colder I had the right attire. Using my navy blue Burberry trench coat was the right amount of protection because it is Spring and New York is not that cold any more (so happy) but rain is rain. The right accessory to warm me up if anything happens is my Fendi wool scarf that can also be worn as a small blanket around the body. Continuing with the hues of navy my Topman pants and the navy Chanel boyfriend bag where the right combination with my brown Too Boot New York shoes from Bloomingdales.

BoyFriend Material

The weather if finally changing in New York, it’s time to show some leg. Trolling trough Bryant Park in my denim shorts from Forever21 with a pullover that I borrowed/kept from a very special friend back home. Thinking of going for a “run” with my Nike tennis shoes pairing them up with a navy blue American Apparel coat just in case it starts getting chilly, you never know with Manhattan´s mood swings. My boyfriend Chanel bag went perfect with my new boyfriend Chanel case because two is always better than one. Adding to my blue hues, my mirrored aviators from Nordstrom went perfect with the whole look. Giving the casual spring vibe with the lenses and the neon green of the shoes it became the perfect ensemble to go to the park.

OC

Black and white movies are now considered classics. So what better way to be classy but with an edge. This black and white pull over is the perfect example, having the white components of the sweater in a very symmetrical pattern makes it look so modern and minimal. The big logo in the middle just adds more edge to it, and ever since Opening Ceremony launched its stores in 2002 the status of the label has skyrocket. Making my pull over a statement pice that looks perfect with a black pair of denim from Joe Fresh and my black leather booties from 3.1 Phillip Lim add the blue mirrored sunnies from Nordstrom and you give the perfect amount of color to the black and white outfit.
