Cerulean Blue

The calendar says spring but the wind says chilly. After up and down thermostat weather like situation, Manhattan hasn’t quit yet made up its mind. Today the weather is a little chilly and we are in the need of a warm coat. What better way to say spring then with this amazing cerulean blue coat from Diane Von Furstenberg, keeping me war but with the right amount of brightness that screams spring. Accessorizing with the poudre lock bag from Valentino focusing on the contrast of the patent leather with the blue coat, my brown leather aviators from Chloe and my white superstar kicks from Adidas. Continuing in the tints and shades of blue my Topman navy blue pants were the perfect combos to this cold spring look.

The Bowery

“No street defines Manhattan’s Lower East Side like the Bowery” I am usually spotted in the LES so nothing gives me more thrill then to wear my amazing “Everyone has a story. Wanna be part of mine?” tshirt by Bowery Supply Co. As I walked through Bowery Street I could see how this brand gets the inspiration to create such wonderful tees involving New York as a character and giving credit to such wonderful street. I paired my tee with ripped jeans from TOPMAN and accessorize it with my leather jacket wrapped around my waist from Versace, in my Chanel boy bag a Fendi bag bug was the perfect pop of color my outfit needed. It was essential to keep my feet simple so I paired the look with my 3.1 Phillip Lim booties and a black hat to match my black wayfarer sunnies from Ray Ban giving my look a total street style vibe that went cohesive with everything Bowery Supply stands for.

Wild Wild East Coast

Getting prep for #MBFW is not an easy task, people have this misconception that one just wakes up in the morning and looks pretty. Well confession it’s completely the opposite and when it comes to put together your looks OMG chaotic. Luckily one day I was roaming around my neighborhood in the East Village and came across with this magnificent poncho from Rannoch Designs. Since I lay eyes on it I knew it would be a great statement for Fashion Week so I paired it up with a simple white tee from Zara and ripped jeans from TopMan. To accessorize I went for comfort with my Nike 2.0 runner shoes, on my head my Zadig & Voltaire black straw hat and my Chloé leather aviators giving the look a more street everyday wear to the poncho. To complement the outfit my Chanel boy bag was the perfect piece missing the contrast the mohair made with the chains was exquisite reminding me of Chanel’s last collection that had a touch of the Wild West.

Mr. Nieves

Any man can live in color – MR NIEVES dares to live in print.

Mr. Nieves

For my second day of #MBFW I wore this amazing print assemble from Mr. Nieves, an up and coming New Yorker designer that brought back his Puerto Rican roots. In his new collection we can see how colorful and perfectly tailored the pieces are. For this occasion I choose this black and white print top with a checkered pattern mix but the secret to not overdo it is by accessorizing wisely.  In this look I am wearing a Proenza Schouler PS11 bag in a light tone to blend in with the heavy print, for my feet a pair of white sneakers from H&M giving a perfect balance of tones to the look. In my ankle I am wearing a navy blue handkerchief as a bracelet just to have fun with a different accessory and of course as most of the time in my eyes my Ray Bans. The black wayfarers go perfectly with the fit of the matching pieces making my outfit look fresh and clean especially during those hot September days.

Gloomy Blue

After days of amazing weather Manhattan cried a little last night. Woke up even worse today and gave us a gloomy day. Between an irritable wind and an annoying rain I had to use my skills to provide myself with protection from water and if it got colder I had the right attire. Using my navy blue Burberry trench coat was the right amount of protection because it is Spring and New York is not that cold any more (so happy) but rain is rain. The right accessory to warm me up if anything happens is my Fendi wool scarf that can also be worn as a small blanket around the body. Continuing with the hues of navy my Topman pants and the navy Chanel boyfriend bag where the right combination with my brown Too Boot New York shoes from Bloomingdales.
